Acjachemem Language Sounds
As you go over the Sounds of our Language take it slowly and go over them as many times as you can. I know it can be overwhelming, however, once you become familiar with the sound of each letter and symbol it will become much easier. It is work but it is satisfying work because our language is incredibly beautiful.
As we begin to learn our language as a tribal nation, our community will come together with a shared knowledge that we empower our cultural selves through speaking our language. It will make us whole again. Then we can begin to undo the damage caused by past years of cultural and linguistic oppression.
We are hoping that, as our tribal youth participate in our language and cultural revitalization programs, the more they will be engaged in our tribal activities.
